Angle
Crypto Overview
Purpose and Utility
Angle Protocol is a decentralized stablecoin protocol that aims to create and manage Euro-pegged stablecoins (agEUR) and other currency-pegged stablecoins. The ANGLE token serves as the governance token for the protocol, allowing holders to participate in decision-making regarding protocol parameters and treasury management.
Business Model
The protocol generates revenue through fees from minting and burning stablecoins, as well as from the yield generated by collateral assets. These revenues are distributed to protocol stakeholders. The core business model involves facilitating stable-value transactions and does not inherently involve interest-based lending.
Real-World Adoption
Angle's agEUR stablecoin has achieved notable adoption, with significant trading volume across multiple decentralized exchanges. The protocol has established partnerships with several DeFi projects and maintains active integration with platforms like Curve Finance.
Development Activity
The project maintains active development with regular updates to its smart contracts and infrastructure. The team consistently releases technical improvements and new features, demonstrating ongoing commitment to the project's development.
Token Distribution
The ANGLE token distribution includes allocations to team members and early investors with standard vesting schedules. The protocol's treasury management and revenue distribution mechanisms are transparent and documented in their technical documentation.
