Anoncoin (ANC) was created in 2013 as one of the first privacy-focused cryptocurrencies. Its primary purpose was to facilitate anonymous transactions using I2P network integration for enhanced privacy.
Business Model Analysis
The business model appears focused on providing a legitimate privacy solution for cryptocurrency transactions. The core utility of anonymous value transfer aligns with halal principles as privacy in financial matters is permissible in Islam. The project does not appear to facilitate any inherently haram activities.
Real-World Adoption and Development
Current data shows extremely limited adoption and trading activity for Anoncoin. Development activity appears to have largely ceased, with no significant updates in recent years. While this indicates the project may have failed to achieve its goals, limited adoption does not affect its sharia compliance status.

Historical records indicate Anoncoin had a fair launch with no pre-mine and no ICO, suggesting it was not designed to enrich founders. Mining was open to all participants from the beginning.
