Purpose and Utility
The DUET token serves as the protocol's governance token and is used for staking to generate rewards. The platform aims to provide exposure to traditional financial assets through synthetic versions on the blockchain.
Business Model
The protocol generates revenue through trading fees and liquidation penalties. The core functionality revolves around users depositing collateral to mint synthetic assets that track real-world prices. This includes both cryptocurrency and traditional asset synthetics.
Platform Development and Adoption
The protocol shows ongoing development activity with regular updates to their smart contracts and platform features. However, current adoption and trading volumes remain relatively modest compared to larger DeFi protocols.
Token Distribution
The token distribution includes allocations for the team, early investors, and ecosystem development. There are vesting schedules in place for team and investor tokens to prevent immediate selling.
