EzyStayz is a blockchain-based vacation rental and booking platform that aims to compete with traditional platforms like Airbnb and Booking.com. The EZY token is designed to facilitate transactions within the EzyStayz ecosystem, including bookings, payments, and rewards for hosts and guests.
Intended Utility
The EZY token serves as the primary payment method on the EzyStayz platform, offering reduced booking fees compared to traditional payment methods. It also functions as a rewards token for both hosts and guests, incentivizing platform usage and loyalty.
Current Implementation and Usage
Research indicates that the EzyStayz platform is operational but has limited adoption. The token is primarily used for trading on cryptocurrency exchanges rather than its intended booking utility. However, this limited adoption does not affect its halal classification.
Platform Development
The project maintains an active development team with regular updates to their platform and mobile applications. While marketing efforts appear to be significant, there is evidence of ongoing technical development.
Token Distribution and Vesting
The token distribution includes allocations for the team and early investors with standard vesting periods. No unusual concentration of tokens has been identified that would suggest a scheme to enrich founders.
Revenue Model Analysis
The platform generates revenue through booking fees and transaction fees, which are permissible under Islamic finance principles as they represent payment for actual services rendered. The project does not involve interest-bearing mechanisms or lending protocols.
