Gifto (GFT) was originally created as a decentralized virtual gifting protocol for content creators and their fans. The project has evolved and is now primarily focused on being a governance token for the Gifto ecosystem, which includes NFT marketplaces and digital content monetization platforms.

The core business model revolves around facilitating transactions between content creators and their audiences through digital assets and NFTs. This fundamental exchange of value aligns with Islamic principles as it represents real utility and asset transfer between parties.
Real-World Adoption
The project has seen varying levels of adoption, primarily in Asian markets. While current usage metrics show limited active users, this does not impact its Sharia compliance status.

Development activity appears to be ongoing, though at a moderate pace. The project maintains its basic infrastructure and continues to support its ecosystem.
