Mad Meerkat Finance is a decentralized finance (DeFi) platform built on the Cronos blockchain (formerly Crypto.com Chain). The MAD token is the native governance and utility token of the ecosystem.
Purpose and Utility
The primary stated purposes of MAD tokens are governance participation in the Mad Meerkat ecosystem, staking for platform rewards, providing liquidity, and accessing platform features like NFT minting.
Current Usage
The token is actively used for: Governance voting on platform proposals, Staking in the platform's reward system, Trading on decentralized and centralized exchanges, Providing liquidity in DeFi pools, NFT marketplace transactions.
Development Activity
The project maintains active development with regular updates to its smart contracts and platform features. The team consistently releases new features and improvements to the ecosystem.
Token Distribution
Initial token distribution included allocations for the team, development fund, and community. Team tokens have vesting schedules to prevent immediate selling. The project demonstrates transparency in its token economics.
