MarsColony

Project Overview

MarsColony is a gamified metaverse project built on the Harmony blockchain where users can purchase, own and manage virtual land plots represented as NFTs on a virtual Mars landscape. The CLNY token serves as the primary utility token within the ecosystem.

Purpose and Utility

The CLNY token is used for: Governance rights in the MarsColony DAO, Purchasing in-game assets and land plots, Rewards for active participation in the virtual world, Trading between users on secondary markets.

Current Implementation

The project has deployed basic functionality including: NFT land plots that can be purchased and owned, A basic governance system through the DAO, Integration with decentralized exchanges for token trading.

Development Activity

The project shows moderate development activity on their GitHub repository, with regular updates to the smart contracts and frontend interfaces. The team maintains active communication through their Discord and Medium channels.

Token Distribution

Initial token distribution included allocations for: 40% to the community and players, 30% to the team and advisors (with vesting), 20% for ecosystem development, 10% for marketing and partnerships.
