MFERS
Crypto Overview
Overview
MFERS is an NFT-derived cryptocurrency token launched in 2022, associated with the mfers NFT collection created by artist Sartoshi. The project began as a CC0 (Creative Commons Zero) NFT collection of stick figure artwork and evolved to include a governance token.
Purpose and Utility
The primary stated purpose of MFERS is to serve as a governance token for the mfers ecosystem, allowing holders to participate in community decisions. The token is also used for accessing exclusive content and community events within the mfers ecosystem.
Business Model and Operations
The project operates on a community-driven model, with the token serving as both a governance mechanism and a means of ecosystem participation. There is no lending, staking, or interest-bearing components in the core protocol.
Real-World Adoption
Current usage primarily revolves around governance voting and community participation. Trading activity exists on decentralized exchanges where actual token ownership is transferred between parties.
Development Activity
The project maintains an active community and development team, though with limited technical infrastructure development compared to larger blockchain projects.
Token Distribution
The token distribution includes community allocation and team tokens, with public trading occurring on decentralized exchanges where actual ownership transfers take place.
