MUSE is a cryptographic token that serves as the native asset on the BitShares Music blockchain platform. The project aimed to create a decentralized music streaming and distribution platform where artists could directly monetize their content and interact with fans.

The intended purpose of MUSE was to facilitate transactions between music artists, listeners, and other stakeholders in the music industry through a blockchain-based platform. The token was meant to be used for payments to artists, purchasing music licenses, and platform governance.
Current Status
As of 2024, the Muse project appears to be largely inactive. There is minimal recent development activity, and the original platform vision has not materialized into a functional product. The token exists but shows very low trading volume and limited real-world adoption.
