PLAY is the utility token that powers the MetaPlay blockchain gaming ecosystem. It serves as the governance and rewards token for their platform which aims to create blockchain-based games and gaming infrastructure.
Purpose & Utility
The stated purpose of PLAY is to act as the primary medium of exchange within the MetaPlay ecosystem, allowing users to purchase in-game items, participate in platform governance, and earn rewards for participating in games and contributing to the network.
Business Model Analysis
The project focuses on creating legitimate gaming experiences using blockchain technology. The platform itself does not appear to facilitate gambling or chance-based games, but rather skill-based gaming experiences where players can earn rewards through actual gameplay.
