The EDU token serves multiple purposes within the Open Campus ecosystem: governance rights for protocol decisions, rewards for content creators and learners who complete courses, and payment for educational services. The platform enables the creation and sharing of educational content while incentivizing learning through token rewards.
Actual Utility and Adoption
The platform shows genuine utility with active course creation and completion. Key partnerships include collaborations with educational institutions and integration with learning management systems. The development team maintains regular updates and improvements to the platform infrastructure.
Token Distribution and Governance
The token distribution appears relatively balanced, with allocation splits between community rewards (40%), ecosystem development (30%), team and advisors (20%, with vesting), and initial liquidity (10%). Team tokens are subject to a 3-year vesting schedule with a 1-year cliff, indicating commitment to long-term development.
