Overview
Pegaxy (PGX) is a play-to-earn horse racing game built on the Polygon blockchain. The PGX token serves as the game's governance and utility token, used for breeding digital horse NFTs (called Pega), purchasing in-game items, and participating in governance decisions.
Purpose and Utility
The primary intended uses of PGX include: Breeding fees for Pega NFTs, purchasing in-game items and upgrades, governance participation, and staking for rewards. The actual current usage largely aligns with these intended purposes, with active game participation and token utility within the gaming ecosystem.
Business Model Analysis
The game operates through players racing their Pega NFTs to earn rewards in VIS tokens (the game's reward token) and PGX. The model involves skill-based racing gameplay rather than pure chance, with outcomes determined by various factors including the Pega's stats, equipment, and player strategy. The racing mechanics are transparent and documented.
Platform Activity
The platform maintains active development with regular updates and improvements to the gaming ecosystem. While user activity has decreased from peak levels, there remains an active player base utilizing the token for its intended purposes within the game.
