Persistence One
Crypto Overview
Overview
Persistence One (XPRT) is a Layer-1 blockchain protocol focused on facilitating liquid staking and institutional DeFi applications. The platform aims to provide infrastructure for liquid staking derivatives and develop DeFi products targeted at institutional investors.
Intended Utility
The XPRT token serves multiple purposes within the Persistence ecosystem: It acts as the native staking and governance token of the Persistence chain, is used for transaction fees, and enables participation in the protocol's governance.
Actual Utility and Adoption
The primary application currently running on Persistence is pSTAKE, their liquid staking protocol that allows users to stake various Proof-of-Stake assets while receiving liquid staking derivatives in return. The platform has achieved notable adoption, with significant Total Value Locked (TVL) across its staking products.
Token Distribution and Development
The token distribution appears reasonably balanced with appropriate vesting schedules for team and investors. The development team maintains active GitHub repositories with regular updates and improvements to the protocol. The project demonstrates ongoing technical development rather than solely focusing on marketing efforts.
Revenue Model and Activities
The primary revenue streams come from transaction fees and staking rewards. While staking is a core component, it functions as a technological service for network security rather than an interest-bearing scheme. The platform does not engage in traditional lending or borrowing activities.
