Purpose and Utility
PolyCub is a DeFi yield farming protocol built on the Polygon network, launched in March 2022. It was created by the same team behind CubFinance on BSC. The token serves as both a governance and rewards token within the PolyCub ecosystem.
Business Model
The platform operates as a yield optimizer, allowing users to stake POLYCUB tokens and other cryptocurrency assets to earn rewards. The protocol includes features like Kingdom vaults (auto-compounding), xPOLYCUB staking, and farming opportunities.
Real-World Adoption
The protocol has maintained consistent development activity and community engagement since launch. While usage metrics show moderate adoption, the platform continues to operate as intended for yield optimization.
Token Distribution
The initial token distribution included allocations for liquidity mining rewards, team tokens with vesting periods, and community incentives. A significant portion was allocated to early adopters through farming rewards.
Revenue Model Analysis
The primary revenue streams come from protocol fees generated from yield optimization services. The platform does not engage in interest-based lending or borrowing, instead focusing on liquidity provision and farming rewards.
