Pulsechain
Crypto Overview
Overview
Pulsechain is a fork of Ethereum launched in 2023 by Richard Heart, designed to address Ethereum's high gas fees and network congestion. The network provides a more cost-effective alternative for running decentralized applications and smart contracts.
Purpose and Utility
The primary utility of PLS includes: network gas payments, validation through Proof of Stake, and governance participation. The network duplicated most ERC-20 tokens from Ethereum, providing users with copied versions of their tokens on Pulsechain.
Business Model Analysis
The platform operates as a Layer 1 blockchain with a Proof of Stake consensus mechanism. The core technology does not inherently involve prohibited activities like interest-based lending or gambling. The network serves legitimate technological purposes including smart contract execution and decentralized application hosting.
Real-World Adoption
Since its launch, Pulsechain has attracted significant developer activity and user adoption. The network processes thousands of daily transactions, primarily for token swaps and DeFi applications. Many projects from Ethereum have been forked and adapted to run on Pulsechain.
Token Distribution
The token distribution includes a sacrifice phase where participants donated to support development. While the founder maintains significant influence, the network's operation is decentralized through its validator system.
Development Activity
The project maintains active development with regular updates and improvements to the network infrastructure. The ecosystem has grown to include numerous decentralized applications and services.
