Quark (QRK) is a proof-of-work cryptocurrency launched in 2013. It uses multiple hashing algorithms (9 rounds of hashing with 6 different hash functions) for enhanced security. The project aimed to create a decentralized digital currency with faster transaction times and improved security compared to Bitcoin.
Purpose and Utility
The primary intended purpose of Quark was to serve as a medium of exchange and store of value. The multi-algorithm approach was designed to prevent ASIC mining dominance and maintain decentralization. However, the project has seen very limited development activity in recent years.
Current Usage and Adoption
Current usage of Quark is minimal. Trading volumes are extremely low, and there is little evidence of active development or significant real-world adoption. The project's official communication channels and development repositories show minimal recent activity.
Token Distribution
