Overview
Rivetz was a blockchain-based cybersecurity project that aimed to provide trusted computing and security solutions through blockchain technology. The RVT token was meant to facilitate transactions within their ecosystem.
Current Status
Based on the most recent available information, the Rivetz project appears to be defunct. The company behind it, Rivetz Corp., was charged by the SEC in September 2021 for conducting an unregistered offering of digital asset securities worth $18 million during their 2017 ICO. The project's development has ceased, and the token is no longer actively traded on major exchanges.
Intended Utility
The original stated purpose of RVT was to serve as a utility token within the Rivetz ecosystem for: 1) Accessing cybersecurity services, 2) Paying for trusted computing attestation, 3) Facilitating secure hardware-based transactions.
Development and Adoption
The project showed initial development activity between 2017-2019 but appears to have ceased all meaningful development. There is no evidence of current adoption or usage of the technology for its intended purposes.
