Sentinel Protocol
Crypto Overview
Overview
Sentinel Protocol is a blockchain-based threat intelligence platform designed to protect cryptocurrency users and exchanges from scams, frauds, and security threats. The platform utilizes artificial intelligence and crowdsourced threat data to maintain a comprehensive security intelligence database.
Intended Utility
The UPP token serves as the native cryptocurrency of the Sentinel Protocol ecosystem, designed to incentivize security experts and users who contribute to the threat intelligence database. Contributors are rewarded with UPP tokens for submitting and validating threat data, while users can access premium security services using these tokens.
Actual Utility Assessment
The platform has demonstrated real-world adoption through partnerships with various cryptocurrency exchanges and wallet providers. The Security Intelligence Platform for Cryptocurrency (S-WALL) and Threat Reputation Database (TRDB) are actively used for scanning suspicious wallet addresses and URLs.
Token Distribution and Governance
Initial token distribution allocated 40% to private sale, 20% to the team and advisors (with vesting periods), 20% to ecosystem development, and 20% to reserve. The vesting schedule for team tokens extends over multiple years, indicating a long-term commitment.
Development Activity
The project maintains active development with regular updates to their security infrastructure. The team consistently releases technical updates and maintains transparency through detailed documentation and community engagement.
Revenue Model
The platform generates revenue through security services provided to exchanges and institutions, with no interest-bearing components. The business model aligns with Islamic principles as it provides legitimate security services in exchange for compensation.
