Shentu
Crypto Overview
Project Overview
Shentu (CTK) is a security-focused blockchain platform that aims to provide security infrastructure and real-time security auditing for smart contracts and blockchain networks. The project was founded in 2020 and rebranded from Certik Token to Shentu in 2021.
Intended Utility
The primary purpose of CTK is to serve as the native token of the Shentu Chain, enabling security verification, governance participation, and node operation. Token holders can stake CTK to become validators, participate in security oracle operations, and vote on protocol improvements.
Actual Utility Assessment
The platform demonstrates genuine utility through its security-focused features: 1) Security Oracle network that provides real-time threat detection, 2) DeepSEA programming language for formal verification of smart contracts, 3) Governance mechanisms for protocol improvements, 4) Validator operations for network security.
Token Distribution and Governance
The token distribution shows a relatively balanced allocation: 25% to ecosystem development, 20% to team and advisors (with vesting periods), 15% for security mining, and 40% distributed through various public sales and community initiatives. The vesting schedule for team tokens extends over 24 months, indicating commitment to long-term development.
Development Activity
The project maintains active development with regular GitHub commits, protocol upgrades, and security feature implementations. The team consistently delivers on roadmap milestones, focusing on technological advancement rather than marketing hype.
