StarSharks is a community-driven shark metaverse gaming platform built on the BNB Chain (formerly BSC). The platform allows players to breed, battle, and trade NFT sharks. SSS serves as the governance and utility token of the StarSharks ecosystem.
Purpose and Utility
The SSS token is primarily used for: Governance rights in the StarSharks DAO, In-game purchases and rewards, Breeding NFT sharks, Trading fees on the marketplace, Staking rewards.
Business Model Analysis
The platform generates revenue through NFT trading fees, breeding fees, and game participation. The model involves real asset ownership and exchange through NFTs and the SSS token. The core activities revolve around gaming and NFT trading, which are permissible as they involve actual asset exchange and utility.
Development and Adoption
The project maintains active development with regular updates to the gaming platform. While user adoption has decreased since its peak in 2022, the platform continues to function with an active NFT marketplace and gaming ecosystem.
Token Distribution
The token distribution includes allocations for the team, advisors, and early investors with standard vesting periods. While the team allocation is significant, it follows typical industry standards and includes reasonable lock-up periods.
