Stride Staked EVMOS
Crypto Overview
Overview
Stride Staked EVMOS (stEVMOS) is a liquid staking derivative token that represents staked EVMOS tokens on the Stride Protocol. When users stake their EVMOS through Stride, they receive stEVMOS tokens in return, which can be freely traded or used in DeFi applications while the underlying EVMOS remains staked.
Purpose and Utility
The primary purpose of stEVMOS is to provide liquidity for staked EVMOS tokens. Users stake their EVMOS through Stride and receive stEVMOS tokens that represent their staked position. This allows users to maintain staking rewards while having the flexibility to trade or use their staked assets.
Business Model
The protocol generates revenue through staking rewards and a small fee taken from these rewards. The underlying mechanism involves actual asset ownership and provides clear utility through staking services. However, the revenue model includes elements of lending and interest generation that require careful consideration from a Sharia perspective.
Real-World Adoption
stEVMOS has seen adoption within the EVMOS ecosystem, primarily used by those looking to maintain liquidity while staking. The token is actively traded on various decentralized exchanges and used in DeFi applications.
Platform Development
Stride Protocol maintains active development and regular updates. The platform has implemented security measures and continues to expand its features and integrations within the Cosmos ecosystem.
