Purpose and Utility
Strong is the native token of the StrongBlock protocol, which was designed to reward node operators who help secure and maintain various blockchain networks. The protocol initially allowed users to purchase and operate nodes without requiring technical expertise, with STRONG tokens serving as rewards for node operation.
Business Model Assessment
The business model centered around node operation rewards and infrastructure support. However, the original StrongBlock protocol faced sustainability challenges and underwent significant changes. In 2023, the project pivoted to StrongBlock v2, introducing a new token structure and modified reward system.
Real-World Adoption
The project has experienced declining usage since its peak in 2021-2022. Current adoption metrics show limited active participation in the node operation ecosystem.
Platform Development
Development activity has been sporadic. The transition to v2 represents the most significant recent change, though technical updates have been limited.
Token Distribution
The token distribution includes allocations for node rewards, team members, and the protocol treasury. Specific current distribution metrics are not publicly available due to the project's transition phase.
