Upfiring
Crypto Overview
Overview
Upfiring (UFR) was launched in 2017 as a decentralized peer-to-peer file sharing platform built on the Ethereum blockchain. The project aimed to create an incentivized file-sharing ecosystem where users could encrypt and share files while earning UFR tokens.
Purpose and Utility
The intended purpose was to provide a decentralized platform for file sharing where uploaders would be compensated in UFR tokens when others downloaded their files. The platform incorporated encryption and smart contracts to facilitate secure file sharing and automated payments.
Development Status
Based on the most recent available information, the Upfiring project appears to be inactive. The official website is no longer accessible, social media channels have been dormant since 2020, and there is no evidence of recent development activity on GitHub.
Token Distribution and Usage
Information about the current token distribution is limited due to the project's inactivity. The token was originally distributed through an ICO in 2017. Trading volumes are extremely low on the few exchanges where it remains listed.
