Crypto Overview
Overview
Viction (VIC), formerly known as TomoChain, is a layer-1 blockchain platform launched in 2017. It rebranded from TomoChain to Viction in August 2023 to better reflect its evolution and focus on Web3 infrastructure.
Purpose and Utility
Viction aims to provide a scalable blockchain infrastructure for Web3 applications, with a focus on gaming, NFTs, and decentralized finance. The VIC token serves as the native currency for transaction fees, staking, and governance on the network.
Business Model and Implementation
The platform uses a Proof of Stake Voting (PoSV) consensus mechanism, allowing token holders to stake their VIC and participate in network validation. The network supports smart contracts and offers high throughput with near-instant transaction finality.
Real-World Adoption
Viction has established partnerships with various gaming studios and NFT projects. The network hosts several decentralized applications, particularly in the gaming and NFT sectors. The platform processes thousands of daily transactions, indicating active usage.
Token Distribution
The initial token distribution included allocations for team members, advisors, and early investors with standard vesting periods. The majority of tokens are circulating, with a transparent distribution model.
Development Activity
The project maintains active development on GitHub, with regular updates and improvements to the network infrastructure. The team consistently delivers technical updates and network enhancements.
