Company Overview

The ProShares Long Online/Short Stores ETF (CLIX) is an exchange-traded fund that provides investment results corresponding to the ProShares Long Online/Short Stores Index. The fund combines a 100% long position in retailers that primarily sell online with a 50% short position in those that rely principally on physical stores.

The ETF aims to benefit from both the potential growth of online companies and the decline of traditional brick-and-mortar retailers. It provides exposure to the potential growth of online retail by investing in companies like Amazon and Alibaba while simultaneously benefiting from the decline of traditional retail by shorting companies like department stores and big box retailers.

Revenue Sources

Pass

CLIX is an ETF that takes both long and short positions in retail companies. The fund's investment strategy itself does not directly involve gambling, alcohol, tobacco, pork products, or other haram activities. The fund's primary activities involve trading real assets (stocks) where actual ownership transfer occurs.

Reliance on Interest

Reporting Date Total Revenue Total Expense Interest Income Interest Expense Interest Income Ratio Interest Expense Ratio

As an ETF, CLIX does not generate interest income as part of its core business model. Any interest earned from cash management is incidental to its main operations of tracking its underlying index. The fund's shorting activities, while involving borrowing, are part of its core investment strategy rather than interest-based lending.

Operational Ethics

Pass

While CLIX holds positions in companies that operate globally, including in China, there is no evidence of direct material collaboration with the Chinese Communist Party or the state of Israel. The fund's holdings are determined by its index methodology rather than direct operational relationships with these entities.
